outdoor photo locations Winnipeg

Your wedding photos don’t have to look like everyone else’s! Sure getting that iconic shot in front of the legislative building is stunning (we meant it, the leg should be on your list if you love it) but if you’re willing to go outside the box a little and truly see what outdoor photo locations in Winnipeg have to offer… check this out. Winnipeg summers are so precious, so get all the outdoor photos you possibly can, but always book an indoor backup location. Trust me, if it rains on your wedding you will be thrilled you have it reserved.

1. Mural Walls

Add some colour to your life and wedding with this gorgeous mural in the West End of Winnipeg, located at 576 Wall St. I love the bright asymmetry this wall brings. With such a wild colour palette any wedding party would look incredible standing in front of this wall.

Or how about this one for all you animal lovers out there, located in the Exchange. The Exchange is a popular go to if you want that mix of art and industrial rolled into one.

2. Walk the streets of Winnipeg

You don’t always need a destination, sometimes the photos along the way make for the best backdrops. Here are two examples from Downtown Winnipeg and The Exchange.

3. The Provencher Bridge

Many people shoot on the bridge, but why not get a secondary shot underneath it?

4. The Archdiocese of St.Boniface

I’m obsessed with this location! I absolutely love the trees on this property, while the building gives this European vibe that you can’t find anywhere else. This one location can provide so many beautiful backdrops and you can really get creative.

You can never go wrong with Assiniboine Park. It has so many nooks for you to explore. It’s truly a one stop location to get a variety of pictures and backdrops.

The Legislative

I know I mentioned the Legislative as slightly over done… However if you look hard enough it has a few under-utilized photo opportunities to give you that unique look you’re after!
