8 months was the time it took to create this showstopping wedding. This wedding was a major highlight of last year’s wedding season, a luxury wedding at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights! Paulina and Anthony were Full Plan clients who fully trusted me to bring their vision to life. This allowed us to pick all the vendors who we knew could bring their vision of a lavish Italian wedding to life. The photos speak for themselves, on why trusting your wedding planner will create the wedding of your dreams!
Paulina and Anthony’s wedding day started with a church ceremony. They then headed off to the Manitoba Legislative Grounds to take wedding photos. The Ledge is such a classic venue for timeless wedding photos. As Paulina and Anthony were off taking photos, the guests headed to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights for cocktail hour. Cocktail hour was held in the Garden of Contemplation, with passed wine and signature cocktails. This was just the beginning…. after a few cocktails, guests were ushered down the ramp from the third floor all the way to the reception area on the main floor. This entrance to the main reception area really allowed guests to be WOW’D by the room design!
After guests reached the main reception area, they were greeted with a 24FT charcuterie and fresh seafood station! To really make this second part of cocktail hour feel like an outdoor Italian bistro, we brought in two 10FT olive trees, plus a champagne cart with custom decaling. This was the perfect starting point for this amazing reception.
Now it’s time to talk about the STUNNING reception room transformation. No details were missed when creating this one of a kind space. For this space we created a unique layout using a mix of harvest and circle tables. The goal was to create a moody candle-lit space, and we achieved this look by only using uplighting and textured lighting. It really made the space feel more intimate and luxurious. We used all-white flowers to contrast against the darker room. There were large floral installations behind the head table, as well as the seating chart, to really pull everything together! We had a custom white dance floor brought in, with the couple’s first initials featured in the middle. We even surrounded part of the dance floor with flowers! Everything was just over the top in the best way possible.
The couple wanted to throw a party, and having an amazing bar was a must! The bar was surrounded by two giant white wisteria trees, and marquee letters that spelled out the couple’s last name. We also had a custom Italian dessert cart for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.
Paulina and Anthony’s wedding day was truly a luxury wedding at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. We absolutely loved how their day turned out, and it shows how trusting your wedding planner with your vision can create the best day possible! If you are planning a wedding at CMHR, we would love to chat and help you create your dream day!
