Choosing the florals for your wedding is a huge deal, and you want to be able to enjoy them throughout the entire day and even afterwards. In this blog, I’ll describe the best ways on how to maximize your wedding florals to ensure you get the most out of those beautiful arrangements!

My number one tip I give to all my clients is to repurpose your floral arrangements. Take the flowers you have in your ceremony space and use them in your reception space. If you have a flower arch at the altar, after the ceremony take it and use it for the entrance to your reception space, or use it as a photo opt for your guests. Use the floral arrangements that line your ceremony aisle as eye-catching decorations at the base of your head table. Using your florals in both spaces adds a continuous, cohesive, and elegant flow to the day, and allows you and your guests to admire them all day.

Another tip I suggest is using the bridal bouquets as décor on the head table. Just like reusing the ceremony florals in the reception space, this tip allows the stunning handheld arrangements to serve a purpose after the I Dos. They add a beautiful touch to the table, whether in vases or just delicately laying on it, while also taking them off the bridal party’s hands (no pun intended). This ensures your bridal party is free to enjoy the evening without stressing about misplacing the bouquets.

To ensure these transitions from the ceremony to the reception are seamless and stress-free, I highly recommend that you consult with your florist or your wedding planner about having them handle the moving of arrangements. This professional touch ensures your bridal party won’t have to worry about this step and instead they can relax and enjoy every moment of your special day. (P.S. One last tip I have is to preserve your bridal bouquet. Your wedding day tends to pass quickly, but the beauty of your bouquet doesn’t have to! Preserving your bridal floral arrangement allows you to cherish its beauty forever and keep a tangible reminder of your special day. From pressing and framing it, to using resin art and creating a feature piece, there are numerous gorgeous ways to keep your flowers forever.
Here are a few of my good tips on how to maximize your wedding florals that you’ll be able to use on your big day. Keep your flower beauty alive and let it bloom beyond the aisle!
