Elegant Italian Wedding at Fort Garry Hotel
Kate and Fabio were full plan clients so we got to work with them every step of the way! They had an elegant Italian wedding at Fort Garry Hotel, where we rented out the entire 7th floor! This allowed guests to easily transition from ceremony to cocktail hour in the foyer to the reception in the Crystal Ballroom, all at the same venue.
The couple got married during the pandemic so this was the big celebration of their dreams! They walked down the aisle together as husband and wife and had a beautiful vow renewal. Their colour palette was silvers, whites, and champagne tones, and they welcomed any extravagance! This allowed their bridal party to really get expressive with their different dresses and suits! Everyone looked incredible.
They had a cocktail-style reception where the vibe was elegant minimalism. We included a mix of both harvest and round tables for their 50% seating. Instead of the traditional sweetheart table, we created an elegant Italian cafe style area with a white love seat for the couple and bistro tables for the wedding party and gorgeous blossom trees surrounding them! It was truly a unique design. Even the couple was stunned at how beautifully it all came together.
In keeping with their Italian elements, we had a huge charcuterie spread from De Nardi, which was absolutely amazing! We included a beautiful ice sculpture on display at the charcuterie table, which spelled out FATE (a combination of Fabio and Kate’s names, clearly, it was meant to be)! They also gave olive oil as their wedding favours with custom labels on them featuring a picture of the couple. It is so nice when you can add a personal touch and give a favour that guests will truly use! They had a gorgeous cake from Lilac Bakery that featured a picture of their puppies to make sure their fur babies were included in the big day as well. Big City All Star Band kicked off the night and kept the dance floor packed. There is no questions guests enjoyed this cocktail-style reception!
