Winter wedding at the Manitoba Museum
When I think of the Manitoba Museum I used to think of grade school field trips…. but not anymore! This winter wedding at the Manitoba Museum will blow you away! It’s romantic and the perfect combination of traditional and unique rolled into one! Brittany and Chris came to me with an incomplete vision, but only after a few short weeks of working together, we knew exactly how we wanted to transform this bare space into a cozy and romantic wedding reception.
First off, Brittany chose the perfect dress for her winter wedding and we needed to include their fur babies into the mix too! The girls decided to get ready at the Fort Garry Hotel so the pups could be apart of it all! I mean, how could you not have these two cuties involved!?
One thing that was important to Brittany and Chris was to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. We decided to split the room into two areas to accommodate this. Guests cozied up to a beautifully tree-lined backdrop while live music played in the background. It was truly the perfect ambiance for their winter nuptials.
While guests moved to the non-such for cocktail hour and drinks, the wedding party went over to the Little Brown Jug for drinks and wedding party photos. If you can manage to sneak away for photos we always recommend the change of scenery.
When it came to decor, Chris went above and beyond for his bride to be! He made an incredible seating chart display that held 175 mini champagne bottles. Each bottle had a custom label indicating the guest’s name and table number. It was truly a show stopper and people couldn’t get enough of it! Once inside the donut wall stole the show! This wall held over 200 donuts and was a true statement piece. Along with the tall floral arrangements, harvest style seating, and gorgeous head table, this wedding was perfection.
It was a pleasure working alongside these two. Everyone truly went above and beyond to make sure this day
was perfect in every way.
