New Manitoba Wedding Venue
We were so excited to get to have the first ever wedding at the brand new Manitoba wedding venue, Lily Stone Gardens! They always provide the most beautiful florals, but now they have a 3 season wedding venue that is located right on their flower farm! This venue gives all the romantic garden style vibes! We loved doing the Style and Design for this day, it came together better than expected if I do say so myself.
Deryn & Tyler decided to go for more vintage vibes with antique lounge areas and decor as well as photos with a vintage car. It is a funny story how this car came to be in their wedding photos. One day Deryn was driving to work when she saw this vintage car so she pulled over and started talking to the guy who owned the car and struck up a deal with him and he showed up for their wedding day! Thank goodness she stopped and was able to convince this man to bring his car because the photos turned out absolutely gorgeous!
Lily Stone Gardens has the most romantic outdoor ceremony location in a tunnel of trees, but we had to make the tough decision to move the ceremony indoors due to the wind. When you have a planner though it is easy to adapt as we make all the backup plans! Although it was a shame to not be outside, the fireplace location was an incredible alternative.
They had the cutest newspaper favours for their guests. It is a personalized newsletter with information about them as a couple and their big day. Just a wonderful keepsake for your guests!
They decided to do a small intimate ceremony and dinner for close family and friends and then a bigger party after to include everyone else in their life! We had a family style meal catered by Mona Lisa Ristorante Italiano, the couple’s favourite restaurant on Corydon, so it was fitting to be a part of their wedding day! Their reception’s late night snack was a taco food truck, which was a huge hit!
We had a strong focus on the guest experience with Nomad Box Bar, a live band, and a taco food truck for late night snack! These were all fun and unique elements for guests to enjoy! The band actually had their flight canceled at the last minute, so without saying a word they got together and packed up and made the 24 hour drive to be here! This is a great example of why you want to hire professionals because they are dedicated and they make it happen, no matter the circumstances, and they did so without complaint!
The first wedding at Lily Stone Gardens was a huge success and turned out beautifully and we were so happy to be a part of that! Adjustments had to be made, but that is the wonderful thing about having a planner because we are prepared to adapt and make the day carefree for you!
