Planners in Winnipeg 2019 year in review

Collaborations

This year we had such an amazing Styled Shoot collaboration with Casey Nolin Photography and a dream team of Winnipeg wedding vendors. Normally as the planner, I come up with the concept in addition to organizing the shoot, but this time around Casey came to me with a beautiful vision. It was a pleasure bringing her ideas to life and have her shoot my work.

New venue experiences

I have been dreaming of working at the Canadian Human Rights Museum since it opened it’s doors! The venue did not disappoint! The Garden of Contemplation, the beautiful outdoor patio and Buhler Hall were incredibly stunning spaces to work in. Designing this wedding was truly a dream come true.

Another venue on our hit list was Alloway Hall at the Manitoba Museum…. and lucky for us, just 2 weeks ago we had the opportunity to work in the incredible space. It’s not every day you can get married in a museum!! The space is truly one of a kind.

Style and Design

Designing a couple’s wedding is by far my favourite part of the planning process. Being able to take a couple’s vision (or lack thereof, in some cases) and elevate it to the next level with elements and ideas they didn’t think were possible is the best! Here are some of our favourite designs of 2019!

Carina and Andrew hired us for Full Planning and wanted a luxurious black and white wedding. I couldn’t be more obsessed with how the design came together. It was truly a team effort with some of Winnipeg’s best wedding vendors.

Alyssa and Jorden – We get to work at many beautiful venues but Cielo’s Garden will forever be a favourite space of mine. Designing this wedding was easy since they gave me complete freedom with all the design choices. We decided to keep in clean minimal and with only one pop of colour.

Tiffany and Trevor – This Full Plan wedding was 2 years in the making and it did not disappoint! I am so proud of this design and the way we transformed the space. Being entrusted with this vision was so rewarding, we definitely hit this one out of the park!

What a year it has been for us in terms of growth and expansion! I am so proud of our team and the incredible things that we’ve accomplished. This year we were awarded the Top 3 Planners in Winnipeg award. To know that those around us are seeing our passion and hard work is such an honour. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to work with all our past and current clients, and receiving this award is just the icing on the cake!

We were also awarded the 2019 Consumer Choice Award.

Consumer Choice Award was established with the sole purpose of recognizing business excellence in small and medium sized businesses. Award recipients are not selected by a panel of judges but chosen by the Consumer.

Knowing that Winnipeg chose us amongst many incredible other small business owners in the market is so heartwarming. We can’t thank you enough!

Personal Life

My husband Chris and I welcomed our first little one, Mya Rose Goncalves to the world on January 14, 2019. Sharing this last year with her has been nothing short of magical. Her personality is already larger than life and we couldn’t imagine ourselves without her. She brings us so much joy and makes everything we do day to day that much more meaningful. We love you Mya!
