Lily Stone Gardens Gala in Support of St. Boniface Hospital

The St Boniface Hospital Gala at Lily Stone Gardens was an event we will never forget! It was truly the most stunning charity event and we are so proud to have been a part of it all. The owner of Lily Stone Gardens, Kelly, had just built her brand new wedding venue on her flower farm and wanted to use this stunning new space to honour her late father by supporting the hospital that did so much for his care near the end of his time with us. All proceeds were donated to support Manitoba’s Cardiac Centre of Excellence at St. Boniface Hospital.

We used this event to raise proceeds to deliver high-quality heart failure care services to patients in Manitoba and to improve early diagnosis and treatment of heart failure. David Zuk (Kelly’s father) lived with a pacemaker for 12 years and was diagnosed with heart failure in 2010 and became a regular patient of St. Boniface’s Heart Failure Clinic. On April 28, 2021, David passed away after numerous and extensive hospital admissions. As we approached the one-year anniversary of David’s passing, our gala aimed to raise funds to improve care and services for current patients of the clinic in David’s memory.

We teamed up with Tricia Bachewich Events and Kelly from Lily Stone Gardens and got to work! We truly went above and beyond with the gorgeous design and aesthetic of this event! We also made sure to focus on having a pleasing guest experience! Chrissy Troy joined us to emcee the event; we had a live band, and an amazing silent auction with so many wonderful prizes! Guests also got to enjoy a three-course locally sourced meal which was absolutely delicious! We created a beautiful outdoor courtyard set up with gorgeous lounge areas and a stunning dessert table. We also had an after-party out in the courtyard so the party could continue well into the evening!

A huge thank you to all of our vendors who donated and discounted decor items so that we could maximize profits for this event. It made for a truly outstandingly gorgeous event with a pleasing guest experience while still ensuring we could give back to such a wonderful cause. We are so happy to say that we raised a total of over $34,000 for the St. Boniface Hospital’s Cardiac Centre of Excellence and we could not have done it without so much support from vendors and the community at large.
