Summer at Ashgrove Acres

When I first met Erika and Jace, they had a very clear dream of how they wanted their wedding at Ashgrove Acres to be. Of course, the summer of 2021 had other plans. Nevertheless, Erika and Jace kept positive with their plans regardless of what current restrictions were in place at the time.

The pathways from the bridal cottage to the ceremony and reception space are full of lush greenery that creates a very rustic and romantic atmosphere. Surrounded by farmland, Ashgrove Acres has no shortage of spots to gather with your wedding party and family, to have your first look or sneak away for sunset photos after dinner.

Erika radiated from cheek to cheek the entire day. The energy from her and Jace, not to mention their stunning wedding party was a true joy to be around. The bridesmaids opted for a light grey dress in mix and match styles and the groomsmen wore black suits with pocket squares to match the girls. These colours blended perfectly with the warm floral arrangements.

The ceremony at Ashgrove Acres is a large and greenery-filled space. The two pillars placed at the beginning of the aisle brought your attention to the beautiful floral arrangements both on the arch and placed on the pillars. The beauty of the trees and lush surroundings created a very magical space for Erika and Jace to tie the knot.

The original plan was for the couple to use the indoor reception space at Ashgrove Acres but we opted for an outdoor tent due to current restrictions. The tent was situated right beside a beautiful sprawling tree that allowed guests to find their seats on the seating chart and write in the guest book. From there, guests were able to grab a signature drink at the bar and play some outdoor lawn games while appetizers were served.

Erika and Jace were an absolute joy to plan their wedding for. They are a true example of adapting to the situation at hand and making the most of the cards you’re dealt with. As in Erika and Jace’s case, sometimes the alternative blows your original plan out of the water!
