Where do I even begin with this unforgettable wedding at The White Poplar? I still can’t beleive this wedding was real, it was that beautiful.
Lindsay and Michael initially hired us for month-of coordination, but it quickly became clear they needed more comprehensive support. After reconnecting for a consultation, we pivoted to full-service planning—allowing us to guide every detail and bring their vision to life without losing precious time. From there, I assessed what had already been secured and seamlessly took over the remaining planning and design.
Our vision for this wedding at The White Poplar centered around a refined European garden party aesthetic—elevated, minimalistic, and beautifully curated. The goal was to enhance the natural charm of The White Poplar and transform it into something reminiscent of a European estate.
The day began at the couples home, then we spent some time at a stunning cathedral ruin, perfectly setting the tone for what was to come.
From there, we transitioned to The White Poplar, where the ceremony became our focal point. We incorporated elegant rented chairs and a breathtaking Chuppah, collaborating with Stonehouse Creative. By sharing a clear vision while giving creative freedom, the result was something truly special—an elevated design born from trust and collaboration.
Guest comfort was key, so we provided fans and umbrellas for the sunny ceremony—both practical and visually cohesive. A heartfelt tribute was also woven in, with memorial chairs honouring Michael’s brother and Lindsay’s father. Each member of the wedding party placed a single rose, creating a deeply meaningful moment.
Design elements throughout the day elevated the experience: stone-inspired seating chart pillars, fluted wood bars, and a standout champagne fountain adorned with florals and amaranthus. Cocktail hour on the stone patio featured bistro lighting, an oyster bar, and signature drinks—creating a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere.
Inside the reception, we embraced a clean, candlelit design with soft drapery and romantic details. Live music from a saxophonist and pianist added ambiance, while a photo booth brought a fun, celebratory close to the evening.
The White Poplar wedding came together seamlessly thanks to incredible vendor collaboration and a couple who trusted the process. The result was timeless, intentional, and truly unforgettable. This one of a kind event was truly a labour love. Countless hours, back and forth with vendors, design tweaks along the way, and a lot of trust from the couple is what made this possible.
