Winnipeg Blue Bombers Wedding

I recently had the pleasure of working alongside Winnipeg Blue Bombers MVP Andrew Harris and his gorgeous bride (and co-owner of Vanity Studios) Carina Fiorentino. I met Andrew and Carina while working my booth at the Wonderful Wedding Show. They came to inquire about my services and later that week we sat down to discuss their vision and how I could guide them through the planning process. Both Carina and Andrew have demanding schedules between football and the salon. When we reviewed my services, we agreed Full Planning Services was the right fit for their busy lifestyle.

Juggling the Winnipeg Blue Bombers demanding schedule and Carina salon hours, we came up with the perfect game plan that allowed them to be apart of the planning process while I took on all the behind the scenes of designing, budgeting and coordinating all the vendors.

Carina and Andrew wanted a timeless romantic vibe for the day, so we kept it clean with a white and black colour palette. For the ceremony, we lined the aisle with 20ft of white hydrangeas on either side of a white aisle runner. The backdrop consisted of white draping with a gorgeous floral wall to anchor the space. We chose clear Napolean chairs and flanked the start of the aisle with two tall arrangements….. The final product was better than we could have imagined.

For the reception, went for a moodier vibe with black linens, low lighting and tons of candles. We re-purposed the ceremony flowers as the table centerpieces and included the flower wall as the head table backdrop. As a Winnipeg Blue Bomber Andrew likes to make an entrance, so he and Carina had indoor fireworks for their grand entrance and first dance. The guests couldn’t believe it when these went off!

We wrapped up the night with an incredible sweets table and McDonald’s late-night snack. Guests partied all night and enjoyed every minute of this elegant Winnipeg Blue Bomber wedding.

Melanie made planning our big wedding so easy. During the year and a half process with her, we did not stress once. People always commented on how calm and chill I was whenever I would talk about the upcoming day and I always responded with “it’s because of our wedding planner, Melanie!” She really understood what we wanted and brought us the absolute best vendor options for our vision, budget and personalities.
