This wedding day was much different for me in so many ways. Caroline and Davis are some of my closest friends. When Caroline approached me over a year ago to help them in planning this day I was excited and a little nervous. I want every wedding I do to be perfect, but I always feel that added pressure when it’s someone so close to me. Once we established the “Wedding Planner” and “Client” relationship, Caroline asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. It was a great feeling to be able to help Caroline and Davis plan the entire event, then seeing it unfold as a guest. I have to give a shout out to my Lead Coordinator and right-hand gal Kristina who took over while I got to enjoy the day with my best friends.
When we started the venue hunt we visited many spaces. But we instantly knew when we walked into the new space at The Winnipeg Convention Centre the search was over! Floor to ceiling windows, great food and good location. It was also a venue that Caroline and Davis had never been to for a wedding, which is hard to find since they have been to over 20 weddings together as a couple!
This wedding was truly unique in so many ways! The bridesmaids carried feather bouquets and the bride had one of the most original bouquets I have ever seen! The ceremony was a reverse candlelight ceremony that lit up the room and the night ended off with a wild dance party and pizza from Little Pizza Heaven food truck. This wedding was one for the books in so many ways!! Thank you to all the amazing vendors who helped in making this day so special.
Melanie and her team were absolutely the most professional, kind people we worked with. Every detail was under close eye all while our friends and family were assisted with grace with whatever their needs were. I can not stress how essential Melanie was to the success and consistency of our day.
We hired her for a full planning experience. As a bride – I did not have to think about when a payment was due or when a vendor meeting was booked. We were given multiple timelines to keep us on track and our monthly meetings were efficient and relevant. In a wedding, there is a constant evolution of things that come together and she was so incredible with guiding us to the process.
Unbelievable service and we wouldn’t think twice about having her plan any other event in our future. Thank you again Mel for being amazing at what you do and for being an unbelievably giving person. Your heart and soul goes into everything and it does not go unnoticed. THANK YOU!!!!
