Fall time at Evergreen Village is something special. You are surrounded by trees just starting to change colour, creating a beautiful background for your wedding. Taylor and Lane’s Evergreen Village wedding was the perfect fall day everyone dreams of. What the couple loved about the venue was the ability to have an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, but having the reception indoors, safe from the elements, was the best of both worlds. They also loved the vintage look of the venue with the classic farmhouse on the grounds. It was the perfect spot for hiding out before the ceremony, plus a fantastic spot for photos!
Their ceremony was held outdoors in the trees. The altar was draped with white gauze linen and had two large fall colour floral arrangements on each side. These arrangements popped up against the changing fall leaves. As guests walked into the ceremony space, they were greeted with live violin music, creating the perfect romantic vibe. One of the most essential parts of the ceremony was how Taylor and Lane incorporated their young son into the day. He had the honour of walking his Mom down the aisle. It was such a cute and personal touch to their ceremony. After the ceremony, guests headed off to cocktail hour. It was held outdoors, where guests had passed appetizers and signature cocktails! During cocktail hour, guests used the audio guest book to leave voice messages to the couples.
Taylor and Lane did a bunch of DIYs for their reception decor. One of the DIYs was the seating charts for guests. The other DIY was the head table sign. They had it painted to match the fall colour scheme of the rest of the reception decor, and added a neon sign! We also repurposed the ceremony floral arrangements to the head table backdrop for more impact and colour. For the guest table design, we did a variety of fall florals in bud vases, as well as tall taper candles. This helped bring the fall feel from the outside in. Of course, a beautiful fall wedding calls for some sunset photos! Taylor and Lane’s sunset photos were BEAUTIFUL!
Having an Evergreen Village wedding is always special. We love the the variety of spaces you can use to hold different parts of your wedding day. We would love to help plan your dream fall wedding and create a day that is uniquely all about you!
